Sequence of metaphysical musings, emergence from process, studio, life, friends, travel, manufacture of memory. Wandering, everyday, quotidian ruminations these "night paintings" resulted from light not absence l. Finding a specific quality of (Brooklyn) dark with light. Slowness, obsession late nights early mornings . Loneliness observant. Oil painting, contains the honest language of soul.

Ben Pritchard

Ben was born in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the New York Studio School from 1995-97. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts, London in 2009. He has been working; primarily drawing, oil painting, and watercolors as well as community events in Brooklyn and Detroit since 2011.
