DITTA BARON HOEBER | Painted Photographs | MELANIE’S OFFICE

February 11 - March 15, 2024

VIEW EXHIBITION

I make photographs, I draw, I make books and I write. Sometimes I make bad photographs. Sometimes I’m drawn to a thing in a situation that won’t make a good photograph but that is something I can’t turn away from. It’s something I have to keep to look at and think about so I make a bad photograph. I keep these, some for years, until I figure out what to do with them. What I have figured out is that I want to paint out the parts of a photograph that are inessential.
