Lizzie Himmel is an artist and photographer living and working in New York City.  Throughout her 35year career, she has covered a range of genres including portraiture, reportage, lifestyle, still life and interiors.  Lizzie shoots for numerous editorial publications, including The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone and most Conde Nast Publications.  Nike, Saab, Toyota, Kotex, Merck and Hot Socks are just a few of her advertising clients.  Her personal work has been exhibited both nationally and abroad. In addition, Lizzie has won several photographic and graphic design awards.

Lizzie comes from a unique art background. The child of two talented and renowned photographers, she was born in a Manhattan photo studio and never left.  Her formal education includes a B.F.A. in painting from the School of Visual Arts.  She has taught photography at the ICP and for the School of Visual Art’s M.F.A. photography program. Lizzie is currently working on a unique photographic book entitled, "Table Scraps"a series of photographic images of  people, places, and things which keep surfacing in the mind after the main event is over.
